A letter from Rev's Tim and Shannon

Dear Friends,

As we enter into the start of our 2nd year as a multisite Church there are a

couple of things we wish to make you aware of:

Team Ministry: For the coming year as Ministers, we are going to

work in a slightly different way to the past year. Instead of Shannon

being the Lead Minister for Addingham and Ben Rhydding and Tim

being the Lead Minister for Burley in Wharfedale, we are going to

focus on different aspects of ministry across all 3 congregations.

There is precedent for this within our Circuit as it was a way of

working Rev's Lesley Taylor and Rick Ormrod developed when working

with Otley, Pool, Bramhope and Norwood.

Shannon will take a lead on pastoral work, safeguarding and

worship, learning and spiritual formation. Tim will take a lead on

coordinating the work of our Leadership Teams and Church Council

and on issues around property, finance and Lay Employment. There are

other aspects of work which we will share together in.

We believe this will enable us both to spend more time

focussing on our particular gifts, strengths and areas of experience,

and it will enable Tim to focus on aspects of work that have less of an

impact on his ongoing health issues, whilst also ensuring good pastoral

oversight of all three congregations.

Volunteer Vacancies: We are currently focussing on advertising

for the role of Church Treasurer. This is a vital role in the

development of the multisite church, and we want to ensure that all

avenues for a volunteer have been explored before considering

whether and how to advertise for a paid role. It is a role which

requires qualifications and experience in accountancy or maths and as such is not something that anyone could do. If you have such gifts,

please consider prayerfully if you could fill this role, and if necessary,

prioritise this over any other service that you offer to the life of your

congregation.

We also have volunteer vacancies for the following roles: Church

Council Secretary, Church Property Officer, Safeguarding

representative for Ben Rhydding and Finance representative for Burley.

If we are to flourish as a new Church on three sites it is important that

we fill all of these roles as soon as possible. For more information,
