24-7 Prayer GB Website -
What is it?
24-7 Prayer is an international, interdenominational, movement uniquely positioned to equip the church to pray. For those in Great Britain they serve all streams of church in their nations to go longer and deeper in prayer, they believe prayers are powerful, and a praying church shapes both individual lives and culture. Churches Together-
We are hosting the next meeting of the Churches together on September 22nd. I would really appreciate some help in setting up and clearing afterwards. It would be good to liaise with other churches within our village. Thank you! Pam Stoney

An important message from Rev Tim -
We are delighted to announce that the Circuit Meeting has agreed reinvitations for both Rev Cameron Stirk and Rev Tim Perkins. Cameron's invitation is for a further 5 years from Sept 2027 and Tim's is for a further 3 years. However, the nature of Tim's appointment will change from Sept 2027 to better enable him to work at a reduced capacity in light of his ongoing health issues. Tim's appointment will be a 75% role, working 50% as Superintendent of the Wharfedale & Aireborough Circuit and 25% as Superintendent of the Skipton and Grassington Circuit. Tim will cease to express pastoral charge of the congregation at Burley in Wharfedale in Aug 2027. We are not going into the stationing process for a new Minister, so pastoral charge of Burley will be picked up from within the current team of Ministers. The Circuit Stewards and Tim will be working over the coming months with the other Ministers to ensure that roles and responsibilities are held equitably, according to the hours worked by each Minister and the number of congregations and members they have responsibility for.

WELCOMING YOU HOME
The Methodist Church has a system of care for both its members and those who join us for worship, weekday groups and meetings. As a Church community, we believe that our care for one another is one of the main expressions of our faith and love for God and for others.
