24-7 Prayer GB Website -
What is it?
24-7 Prayer is an international, interdenominational, movement uniquely positioned to equip the church to pray. For those in Great Britain they serve all streams of church in their nations to go longer and deeper in prayer, they believe prayers are powerful, and a praying church shapes both individual lives and culture. Book Sale-
It’s that time of year again! Wendy and Phil are asking you to sort out and save any surplus books you may have, ready for their annual book sale during Burley Festival. Just bring them down to church
and they will do the rest. Thank you.
PAFRAS -
Please remember our PAFRAS collection on Thursday 2nd July. We will be at the front of church from 10.00am to 11.30 am. Non perishable food items and toiletries needed to support refugees and asylum seekers in Leeds.
Thank you. Social Justice Team
RightNow Media-
The church has taken a subscription to a fantastic resource to support both personal and group Bible reflection and study. Access is free to all members by following this link: https://app.rightnowmedia.org/join/bwmethodist
There is a support section at the foot of the Home page which has answers to lots of FAQ's but if you have any other queries/questions please contact Phil and Wendy Kershaw who will be happy to help you.
Church Garden-
Do you ever stop to appreciate our church garden? Our church gardening team has begun again to meet , but they could do with more help to keep it in tip-top condition. Could you come along and lend a hand? No experience necessary. Tools provided. We meet on Thursdays 10am – 11 am (weather permitting!).
Have a word with Angus if you can spare a little time. PS If you can’t manage Thursday mornings, have a word with Angus and he’ll let you know what help we need.
Latest Blog Post-
Make sure to check out our latest blog post.
You can find it in the menu bar under Blog or simply scroll down to see the latest posts.
Volunteers -
I'm looking for Volunteers to help with Little Ducklings and also to help with Tuesday coffee and Sunday coffee on 2nd and 4th Tuesdays. I also had a Mum from Little Ducklings ask if any members of our congregation would be interested in reading with different year groups at school on a regular basis.
Please get in touch if you can help in any way. Pam Stoney
Churches Together -
The next Churches Together Meeting is to be held at the Catholic
Church at 12 noon on 14th July. It is open to all but if you would like to attend please let Rev Tim know by Wed 8th so that catering arrangements can be made.
WELCOMING YOU HOME
The Methodist Church has a system of care for both its members and those who join us for worship, weekday groups and meetings. As a Church community, we believe that our care for one another is one of the main expressions of our faith and love for God and for others.
